What’s a “plantbar” ?

A plant shop with a focus on growing the plant community in Athens. A place to hangout around people and plants and have a drink if you’d like.

What types of things do you offer?

-A wide variety of house plants to choose from.
-DIY succulent terrarium experience.
-Soil bar where you can mix and make your own blend of soil.
-Community propagation wall, where you can take a cutting and leave a cutting.
-Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

What’s a DIY succulent terrarium experience?

It’s a fun activity where you get to create and design your very own succulent terrarium to take home with you. We provide everything you will need. It can be relaxing solo activity, or a fun get together with friends. Reservations are required for groups of 3 or more and the experience is offered on the hour, every hour. The cost is $35 per terrarium and includes everything you need. We do have upgrades available.

Can kids make a succulent terrarium?

Yes, kids ages 8 and older can make one with an accompanying adult. (There are sharp pointy tools and glass involved.) Kid classes are only available until 5pm. Evening times are reserved for adults.

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes, we serve beer and wine Wednesday through Saturday!

Where do you get your plants?

We have our own greenhouse in town and we work with a few small family owned nurseries in Florida. We believe in small businesses supporting other small businesses. By having our own greenhouse and a close relationship with small nurseries, we’re able to pass the savings to you.

Do you have any pet safe plants?

Yup, we have an entire section dedicated to pets!

Can I book an event here?

Can I bring in my sick plant?

No, sorry! For the health and safety of all our plants we can’t allow sick plants in the shop. But, we can try to help you diagnose the problem.
